Losing Streak - Less Than Jake:
... Ska Punks Less Than Jake are a band that I have been a huge fan of for some years now. I have been a great admirer of almost every single one of their albums and Losing Streak is no exception to this rule. It was released back in 1996, an album jam packed full of fantastic music which is brilliant fun to listen to and I would say that it s definitely well worth giving it a go. If you re at all a fan of th... Read the full review: Johnny Quest Thinks We're Sellouts by rleigh |

Greased - Less Than Jake ... Less Than Jake rock out all the classics from the hit musical Grease is amusing to say the least. Why on earth they chose to cover these eight tracks and turn it into an EP consisting only of covers from Grease I ll never quite know, but I shan t complain anyway as it s thoroughly entertaining to hear the band taking on tracks such as Summers Nights and Greased Lightnin , tracks that should never really have been given a Punk injection but were nonetheless. When this EP was first released it had to be quickly discontinued to avoid lawsuits with Paramount Pictures and Universal Music Group, however after several months a deal was reached and it was able to b... Charge - Aquabats ... I saw that the band had donned exclamation marks on the end of their band name, CD title, and every single track - I thought that this album may consist of some forced wacky antics by the band. Luckily I was wrong and once again The Aquabats have come up trumps in producing a CD of true greatness. Some say that they don t like this CD because it sees the band drop their horns and in doing so drop the Ska. The thing is, The Aquabats never particularly were a Ska band in the first place - they are just a fun band singing about issues close to their hearts such as the matter of being a nerd. Nerd Alert is testament to this and is a cracking track that will no doub... Read the full review: Hot Summer Nights Won't Last Forever by rleigh |

Too Many Freaks Not Enough Stages - Pama International ... slip as you d surely regret it if you did. Here is an album with 8 tracks on it - although there seem to be relatively few tracks from the band for an album, after giving it a listen you will soon discover that tracks are long, but they quite easily stand the test of time. Pama International are a band that play mellow, laid back Ska, Reggae and 2 Tone that will get you skanking with what seems like ease. The band have obviously put a lot of work in to this album, and ultimately they have come out tops as a result. I have always admired the band for their strong music with its mellow vibes that you can truly chill out to - it is bands like this that are great to listen...
