Hleb - Leningrad ... (bread) is Leningrad s 11th album (or 12th if you include their best hits predecessing this one), it was released by Mysteria Zbuka in Russia in 2005. If you don t know Leningrad, then I will describe them a bit. They are a Russian ska band that set up shop in 1997, they consist of fourteen members who depending on the song may or may not play. The majority of tracks (not instrumental ones obviously) are fronted by vocalist Sergey Shnurov aka "Shnur", who also writes most of the lyrics. Leningrad is jolly music, ska music, instrumentally often perfect with the sniggering vocals of wide boy Shnur who "sings about things which are good in life - vodka ... Room For Abuse - Spunge ... Room For Abuse is the super second album from the UK ska punk band that is [spunge]. Containing covers of Bob Marley s No Woman No Cry and Sublime s Santeria as well as fourteen original songs; Room For Abuse is a pretty decent album and perhaps the best that [spunge] has ever released as a band. Room For Abuse was released one year after the bands debut record Pedigree Chump , it came out in October 2000 and always the energy levels are kept extremely high here. Some funky bass lines are implemented into the bands sound, excellent use is also made of the drums and always the guitar riffs are strong here.
