 ... wonderfully in tune, it's ultimately a little bit flat and seems to lack passion. Saying that, this and the album which followed (Never Ending) are almost definitely the band's best work with the most recent albums being a little bit "same-old". Regressus is the 2nd album by German based Power Metal band Mystic Prophecy, it was released on Nuclear Blast in 2003. Vocally it's similar to American bands of the same ilk but musically it retains a European power metal sound, the melodies are catchy and whilst all different do have a sense of familiarity about them. Unless you are someone who idolises the Power Metal genre, you could be forgiven for being worn down by Roberto Dimitri Liapkis' vocals - whilst he has a decent range and it's always wonderfully in tune, it's ultimately a little bit flat and seems to lack passion.
