Rating:
Led zeppelin remasters is a collection of some of the greatest music of the 70's, and possibly of all time, on one album. The songs on the album have such depth and input from all four members, and this was key to Led Zeppelin. The band had such energy you could even feel it just listening to it. All four members were incredibly skilled and you can realise this by listening to the album. Robert Plant has the most incredible voice of any frontman in the 70's and possibly ever in rock and roll history. He shows his amazing singing talent in "whole Lotta Love" and other songs. Jimmy Page(lead guitar) is second only to Hendrix ... Read the complete review

Earlier material like Whole Lotta Love and Communication Breakdown has dated, whether because of over-familiarity or mere flashiness, while the dense funk of Physical Graffiti and Houses Of The Holy sounds entirely contemporary (shades of Prince and Husker Du, not to mention The Cult). Although the box set offers Led Zeppelin disciples the opportunity to hear just about their entire catalogue remastered and re-sequenced (often to good effect), it's the handy three record Remasters that wins the day, if only because anything that curbs their legendary incontinence needed. A great buy for RNR fans everywhere ... Read the complete review

It's hard to condense Led Zep's best work into a 2 CD set. But this is an excellent attempt. Jimmy Page was involved in releasing the remastered tracks, and judging by the tracks I've listened to, these are certainly better than those originally released on CD. There's 2 hours 25 minutes' worth in total, with 26 songs, and almost everything here is essential stuff. If you don't want to invest in all the albums (and obviously you're missing out on a lot of good stuff if you don't), this is a good place to start. In essence, it's raunchy, raw rock and roll, with a good helping of R&B rootsiness. Songs ... Read the complete review

Once Upon A Time In The West - Hard-Fi
A couple of fairly okay tracks.
The rest are painfully bland and boring to listen to.
Once Was Not - Cryptopsy
some great riffs to be found, welcome return of Lord Worm
poor production, overly disjointed, Lord Worm's vocals are disappointing
Pagan - Cruachan
Combines folk and metal in a satisfying fusion.
Evidently searching for a more mainstream style, and failing as a result.
Parallel Minds - Conception
Powerful and creative prog-power metal.
Still predictable to an extent.
Paris - The Cure
New Wave & Post-punk - 2000
Phi - Truckfighters
Excellent guitar work, instrumentally the album is brilliant.
Not the most original album you'll ever hear, a fair few vocal weaknesses.
Prepare To Be Let Down - Ruiner
A decent album of hardcore punk, incredibly fast and fun.
Not the best album of this sort you will ever hear, no real depth of intelligence.
Procession To The Infraworld - Chasm
Solid death metal performance.
Less creative and thrilling than the last album.
Punishment For Decadence - Coroner
Great guitar performance from Tommy Vetterli.
Still fairly standard thrash.
Onwards To The Spectral Defile - Cirith Gorgor
Melodic black metal without being cheesy.
Over-reliance on traditional forms.
