Hammerfall's third album continues the trend of increasingly unimpressive copies of 'Glory to the Brave,' re-enacting the same ideas with slightly less conviction each time. This album contains a few fast, energetic moments, but mostly plods along at a tedious pace, and doesn't offer anything to compensate for the loss of energy. Fortunately, this is power metal, and there are still a few catchy choruses to justify the listening experience, particularly that of the otherwise lacklustre opener 'Templars of Steel.' Great use of orchestration to supplement, great heavy metal songs. Some riffs are very generic.

Mature perfection of the Grave Digger style. Not as frantic or adventurous as some earlier offerings.

Strong title track. Average re-workings of weaker old material.

Some catchy tunes Voice is a bit annoying, musically not really outstanding
