When it comes to hardcore Chimaira are one of the more experimental bands, their early releases were quite fruitful at a time when they stood out from the pack of various nu-metal bands, a release or two down the line though and they became over-produced and lacking in the innovative ideas that they had made their name from. Resurrection is a very apt name for the album for it is exactly that - a ressurection of the band's career. The brutality and urgency shown in this album is a breath of fresh air and there's little to seperate the quality of the tracks, that's to say there are no fillers and it's all of a rather high standard.
