On the 5th December 1997, the original line-up of Black Sabbath reunited for a show in their native Birmingham, recorded as this double album and the finest official live album the band has released. While this and subsequent reunions with classic line-ups effectively ended Black Sabbath's studio career as they became fundamentally a live testament to their early material, the gimmick of sticking firmly to the Ozzy Osbourne years for this live show gains from the benefit of hindsight, as a more concise and entertaining setlist can be chosen than on previous tours designed to promote admittedly below-par Sabbath studio recordings. Great, at last the four horsemen of the apocalypse are back together even if it is only for one album. The line-up of Osbourne, Iommi, Butler and Ward will be for me the only lineup worth putting on stage. Ozzy is awesome and he works the crowd as only Ozzy can. Close your eyes, turn up the volume and you can almost imagine that you really are at the concert. This epic album is a double CD, each one containing all the "Classics" and on the 2nd CD 2 new studion tracks, never hard before. The thing that was always going to be difficult for Black Sabbath was to somehow update the old tracks. At the time there was nothing like them and they were loud, bad and ... Three Legs Of Trouble - Stonerider
The music is extremely energetic, the members of StoneRider are all highly talented.
It could perhaps be seen that many of the tracks here sound quite similar.
Third - Portishead
Great sound
Some uncertain production at times
The Sagas Of... - Klashnekoff
Intelligent lyrics full of passion over excellent production sound like PARROWDICE to my eardrums!
Some lame skits. The beats provided for SON OF NIAH are kind of a hit and miss.
Space Jam - Soundtrack
Great OST, full of stars and great tracks, well constructed
Nothing really, although I don't particularly like I Believe I Can Fly
Red - Guillemots
some strong tracks
couple of fillers
In The Night Garden... A Musical Journey... The Album
Lovely music, tracks your toddler will recognise
Short, will annoy you after a while
Continuum - John Mayer
Great singing, guitar playing.
Only twelve songs??????????????????????????
Confessions Of A Twisted Mind - Dear Superstar
A brilliant début album of rock n roll excellence.
Dear Superstar are not as successful as they should be.
Blue Valentine - Tom Waits
Songs from the heart about the down-trodden in society
Ruined voice and depressing sound not to everyones liking
Accelerate - R.E.M.
A few good songs
To much filler
