A great gift for mum or dad or a great CD for anyone's collection

If you have never experienced the Shadows , then I'm afraid you would of missed out on some of the most fantastic music ever made, and after 50 years it is great to see they are still going strong, this is a group you could never put in the same league as some of the pop acts today simply because i do not think any of todays groups will still be performing together in years down the line!!!

This is the soundtrack to the tour they did on their reunited tour after 50 years and as an added bonus they have also added an extra three new tracks to tickle your fancy, the new tracks are Sea Breeze, 'C'mon Everybody' and the single 'Singing The Blues' admittedly they are old songs from different artists but with hank and his magic fingers they have managed to put their own spin on it.

It also sports the good old famous song of Bachelor Boy a song that seems to be ever present in the pubs near me in Blackpool as it is a song that seems to be played for most stag parites that frequent the area.

But most will recognise Living doll or maybe their top hit the Young ones , these seemed to of stood the test of time and are songs you will here in most working mens clubs, but must admit they seem to get me in the mood for a good night of singing along with the artist,

The album does have many tracks , some of which are new to me despite being bought up on the group with either my mum or dad playing them , anyway for those that may be interested the tracks are 1. I Could Easily Fall (In Love With You) 2. The Young Ones 3. Move It 4. Living Doll 5. Bachelor Boy 6. Nine Times Out Of Ten 7. C'mon Everybody 8. Travellin' Light 9. It'll Be Me 10. In The Country 11. On The Beach 12. The Next Time 13. Please Don't Tease 14. Sea Cruise 15. Willie And The Hand Jive 16. Summer Holiday 17. Do You Wanna Dance? 18. Don't Talk To Him 19. Time Drags By 20. Gee Whizz It's You 21. Lucky Lips and finally number 22. Singing The Blues .

Overall this is a great album and a little trip down memory lane for me as it reminds me of long car journey and listening to the tracks and occasionally singing along with them , this album is a great piece to own and has adapted with the decades and the different sounds.

It would also make a great present for a mum whom croons over Cliff Richard or for a dad that loves playing air guitar trying to imitate Hank Marvin, this is one CD i would defiantly recommend to anyone it is a CD every generation should listen too.

I purchased mine of amazon with a deal i got the Reunited Cd along with final reunion on DVD and a copy of Susan Boyle's I Dream a Dream all for £24.34 but you can buy the CD album on its own for £8.48 which is a fantastic price.

It is an enjoyable CD, just dont be like me and try and impersonate Rik Mayal during the living doll song .... ha ha ha

The best get better and are back in business.

50 years of recording and hits......

Cliff Richard and the Shadows, has there ever been a better combination in British Rock and Roll? We could argue for ever and never reach an agreement. What you can agree on though is that this CD, the boy's first new recording together in 30 years is brilliant. End of story.

I am not a great fan of re-recordings of old hits, even by the original artists, but I make an exception here, the new arrangements - very small changes that they are, are completely in tune with the originals but show subtle differences - Great stuff. What comes over, as you would expect is just how good these guys were and still are, They are unsurpassable, head and shoulders above any one else we have ever produced in the UK.

There is no point in me listing the track which are on this CD, as you can read those on Amazon as well as I can. Suffice to say that all the big hits are here, one or two lesser ones and a sprinkling of new tracks - whilst I say new tracks, what I really mean is new recordings of old tracks that were never hits back in the 60s, simply because they were never released as singles.

The sound of Cliff and the Shads back together again is just fantastic. I saw them perform live in their final tour a couple of months ago, this CD brings back every second of a simply mesmerising performance. It is one of the best modern CDs I have ever purchased. I heartily recommend it and advise everyone to buy a copy. I feel sure you will not be disappointed.

If I could give it 10 stars out of 5 I would. I like it so much.

Now where is my "Play in a day" by Bert Weedon..........In joke for the oldies who will read this...
