... of the 'heavy' genre, Gene starts off with something that could esily have fallen from the 'Creatures of the Night' lorry in the form of 'Unholy' which bears some similarity to 'War Machine'. It does contain the 'hit-song' 'God Gave Rock 'n' Roll To You' from the Bill & Ted sequel, but don't let that put you off. The bunch of albums that Kiss released with their make-up removed had up until this point been a pretty hit and miss affair, with most relases falling off the edge of credibility. Revenge stopped the flow of bad releases rather sharply in its track and gave us an album that Kiss should have relased years ago.
