This is a brilliant collection of songs if you like electro influenced pop music like me. Being a member of a site called Popjustice, i was drawn to this instantly especially since Richard X worked on Rachel Steven's Some Girls which was a massive hit and Being Nobody by Liberty X which also was another fave of mine. I think this a superb collection of songs and i think Richard X really shows his originality across every song in this and his superb songwriting and melodic talent to write superb pop songs. The bootleg is not a common phenomenon. In the 80’s and 90’s, remixers would try and breathe new life into songs by splicing them together with another track to create something even better than the sum of its parts. Tracks like ‘You Got The Love’ by The Source married together Candi Staton and Frankie Knuckles to produce one of the all-time classic dance songs, whilst the addition of Coco’s ‘I Need A Miracle’ to Fragma’s trancy ‘Toca Me’ reaped a chartopper in 2000. It seems a bit odd to be starting a music review with an apology, but here goes... Theediscerning hereby apologises for how many times variants of the phrases "this sounds just like..." and "this is based on..." will appear in the following. Now we can begin. To start with, 15 tracks of modern, slightly funky, electronic discoish pop do seem like a lot. However, as you can see from the track times on the back, four are just like radio idents, or short instrumental filler things.
