A Hundred Million Suns - Snow Patrol ... people find Snow Patrol to be on the safe side, and while this is true to an extent, they still make cracking tunes while at it. First off, I would like to say aside from the music, the album art is beautiful and somehow just fits what you re hearing, especially looking in the booklet. This is a massive advantage I still feel CDs hold over MP3s. Anyway, the music. I m only going to go through a few songs here, but generally the whole album is pretty good for Snow Patrol, a good mix of sounds. Crack the shutters is a glorious single, and finds Gary Lightbody singing in a beautiful lilting voice. It has a lovely beat to it and I can guarantee it will stick in your hea... The Eraser - Thom Yorke ... Eraser sees Thom Yorke develop the sound he started to create in Hail to the Thief s glitchy patches, mixed with Kid A s minimalism. Most of the album recorded on a laptop, you still manage to be treated to a beautiful sound scape by one of the forerunners of music. The Eraser s title track is a beautiful piano piece with lots of laptop effects which give the C.D an atmosphere from the get go, it sounds claustrophobic but welcomingly so. The last minute of synthesized piano is absolutely brilliant and is a fine moment on the album.The sound oozes out of your speakers and almost dances around your ears.
