Romashka's album Gypsy Musika for Dancing and Dreaming was released in 2005, the band which translates to daisy in Russian also shows the roots to the music with the second meaning as it can be deciphered to mean Roma (gypsy) and Mashke (Yiddish for liquour). Fronted by the young Lithuanian Inna Barmash (surely of Russian origin with a name like Inna) who has a groovy and intriguing voice, full of enthusiasm she leads the band in style. Listening to the songs, it is no wonder that Romashka have quickly cemented themselves as a fixture in the shining New York balkan scene.
