Advantages: Good album on whole

Disadvantages: Not as good as Revolver

Rubber Soul has often been seen as the acoustic part of a two album set that also features the more electric Revolver. It isn’t as good as that one, but it does contain some world class tracks. Paul’s catchy Drive My Car or lyrical Michelle, to John’s bitter misogynistical Norwegian Wood and Run For Your Life. George’s indian influence period is kickstarted here, and Ringo gets his first share of a songcredit (on the missable What Goes On). The most outstading track however, is John’s In My Life, which is beautifully written, sung and belongs in any top five songs of all time poll.
