Risk: Remastered & Expanded - Megadeth
by Asterisco - written on 25/06/04 (Somewhat useful, 127 readings)
Rating:
first disc with Megadeth , Jimmy DeGrasso, the new drummer, plays luxury, but he canīt bright because of the compositions. The CD has pearls like "Prince of Darkness", "Time" y "I'll Be There" and forgettable songs like "Wanderlust". Mustaine lyrics improve, becomes slower, solos ...

Risk: Remastered & Expanded - Megadeth

away Ģ15 of my hard earned money. Even walking home looking at the album sleeve, I was getting the feeling that something was not quite Megadeth about this album. For starters there were no lyrics to the songs. I tell a lie, there were lyric 'fragments' arranged in an arty-farty manner but no full lyrics that I could wail along to. I don't think I own any other 'Metal' album that does not include all the lyrics. The opening track, Insomnia begins with a haunting violin that introduces the main theme of the song. This theme is repeated by a sitar and then the vocals and guitars kick in. Now it's quite hard to tell whether these are ...

Youthanasia: Remastered & Expanded - Megadeth
Over look the name and give them a chance!!! (813 words)by - written on 25/01/01
Rating:
I was first turned on to Megadeth when I was about 14 years old. The first time I heard Peace Sells... I was hooked. I have every Megadeth album to date and this is the best of them all. They are all excellent albums but Youthanasia stands tall among them. People who don't like Megadeth have probably never heard them. People are afraid of their name. I applaud them for sticking to their guns and not caving in to the man and changing it. They boycott MTV because MTV will not play their videos due to their name. That is a huge disadvantage for a band that has over 20 videos available for your viewing pleasure.Since most people have never heard of Megadeth or their ...
