RUDEBOX is the title of former Take That member ROBBIE WILLIAMS' pop album. The album features 17 tracks which I will review. The opening song RUDE BOX is a rap. It has some techno beats and the lyrics rhyme with comments on certain issues. The sound is okay, but the vocals are scratchy. VIVA LIFE ON MARS is an energetic track with a fast paced rhythm. The chorus is quite catchy and uplifting. LOVELIGHT is a fast paced track with good melodies. The vocals are okay as is the instrumental support. Lyrically, everything you would expect from Robbie is here, the album is open, honest, tongue in cheek Influences sound like they come from Beck, Jamiroquai, hip hop, , trance and country. I think this album has taken on more of Robbies 'rapping' than previous albums. You'll find several songs are spoken all the way through like rudebox, whereas on old robbie tracks he usually does a little rap at the end. The more I listen to this record the ...
