Paul McCartney always said he liked rock and roll, and this is certainly what this album is all about. Recorded in March 1999, Paul picked his group and told them to be at Studio 2 Abbey Road. Hi did not allow them to practise. He said he wanted it to be fresh - and that is what it is. The songs are real rock and roll, and the album oozes the feel of excitement and life. Many of the songs date to the 1950s and it's brilliant. You can tell that Paul and the others are really enjoying themselves, and that feel comes through in all the songs.
In summary it must be one of Paul's best. I certainly enjoyed it and if you like that sort of thing, it's great.
