I am not ashamed to say that S Club 7 were my favourite band in the world a decade ago when I was all innocent and well 11. Even now I still listen to their music when I'm on the odd 'crazy' day. The group were huge with hits such as 'Don't Stop Movin', 'Reach' and 'Never Had A Dream Come True' defining the pop world at the start of this decade. Their debut album however is cheese in its purest form. That said, S Club 7 do stand out instantly from their peers as bubblegum pop is not their only speciality. Motown, latino grooves and soulful ballads are all crammed in to this 11 track debut CD 'S Club'. 01. Bring It All Back 10/10 The one that ... Read the complete review

First of all can I say that this CD is actually called S Club not S Club 7? It's a small point but it helps make a bit more sense of the fact that the second CD is called 7. S Club was the band's first CD and didn't do quite as well as 7, perhaps because the band were not huge international stars at the time. I personally bought the album in the first week of release because I had watched and loved the tv song. So I recognised most of the songs on first hearing, which means that I probably won't give an unbiased review. But hey, who does?! S Club 7 are Jo, Rachel, Hannah, Tina, Bradley, Jon and Paul. Jo and Rachel take main vocals on the CD with ... Read the complete review

The S Club 7 album with the very original title of "7" is one of the best pop albums this year. Their first single Reach is extremely catchy and has a lively beat. If you liked this single you will definately like the rest. Their next single Natural is a bit slower but just as good and the lyrics are also very catchy. This album even has some rap from Bradley so will cater all tastes and adds variety to their sound. There is not one song which I don't like or think could be a potential hit. If you liked their first album this one is even better. ... Read the complete review

Although some of the group have disappeared into thin air, some have become actresses and some have attempted to up their celebrity profiles by entering painful reality shows, the members of S Club 7 will always be best remembered for their success as a pop act. Rachel, Hannah, Tina, Jo, Bradley, Jon and Paul made up the group which started life on the TV programme Miami 7 and burst onto the music scene with the number one Bring It All Back. 'S Club' was their first album and was released ten years ago in 1999. The album begins with Bring It All Back, which is a bouncy, catchy pop song during which all of the group get to show off their vocal ... Read the complete review

This takes me back to the days of pure glory pop. This lot were just emerging. They had their own TV show and suddenly they were in the charts too, delivering catchy fruity pop anthems. Who are they: Jo, Rachel. Tina, Hannah, Paul, Jon and Bradley. Paul left to pursue a solo career, resulting in a name change from S Club 7 to S Club. On this album: The opening song is a breath of fresh air, a dose of clean safe pop music in the form of 'Bring It All Back.' The chorus is light and upbeat and it sounds like the kind of music that also have been used to advertise a kids breakfast cereal. It is almost too cheery for its own ... Read the complete review
