The music is a mix of the traditional (e.g. Abide With Me, written 1847) and the more contemporary (e.g. Hallelujah, written 1984), but despite the 100+ year difference in the dates of composition, on the whole it gels together very well. Another very modern one is Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Pie Jesu".
If you're a fan of people like Lesley Garrett, you'll probably be familiar with quite a bit of the music already, however for me this is not the kind of thing I normally listen to it and mo...more |

First of all, don't be put off by the fact that the CD is basically a recording of all religious music. If you like Katherine Jenkins, then you'll enjoy the album. However, if you're new to her or don't particularly like her I don't think this would be the best album of hers to listen to. A quick track listing is: 1. Abide With Me 2. Pie Jesu 3.
