Advantages: nice videos
Disadvantages: quite expensive
The latest of Tool's offerings (the first being their e.p Opiate, then their album Undertow, followed by Aenima) Salival, is a limited edition cd and dvd/vhs box set, to wet our appetites for the new album which arrives in May.
This very pretty box set contains some good stuff, some lives tunes and some studio tracks, with songs suck as "push it" live, with "part of me" and "merkaba" "third eye" and "you lied" also live this album does have some rare treats for you, along with studio recordings of "message to harry manback 2" , "Lamc" and "no quarter" obviousley you could get them off napster, but its not really the same without the nice pretty box, and also the videos on the dvd/video too. The video has Sober, prison sex, stink fist and aenema.
Basically this is just to keep Tool fans, like me, happy whilst they are salivating ready for the next album, maybe thats why they chose the name Salival, but basically its up to you, if you are a fan of tool then you probably already have this, but if you don't then i'd reccomend it to you, it just depends whether you think its worth spending £25 on this, I got it from America where it was a bit cheaper, but i would thoroughly reccommend it....but then i'd reccommend anything that Tool do...

Xanadu Alx - 02/04/01 The only reason i put this here is because the tool section didn't have a salival thing on it, so sorry! but Tool are quite heavy, i can't think of any word to describe their music apart from amazing! everyone who ever listens to tool suddenly finds a new favourite band, their music has heavy drums but decipherable, intelligent lyrics, with a lot of energy, and most rock bands cite tool as one of their main influeces. i reccommend them to everyone. |
