... Gan" and legendary "Satta Massagana" which both partly feature Amharic in them cementing their close ties to the homeland of rastafari - Ethiopia. The album sounds a little aged now, the production is good but still sounds raw, the vocals are superb, the rythm is groovy, the simplicity is effective and puts this album at the top of any roots reggae music. The Abysinnians album Satta Massagana is a classic roots reggae album featuring lots of classic reggae tunes by one of the longest running reggae bands starting up in 1969 and still running today. This harmony filled album is definitely a pleasant listen, starting off with that unbelievably chilled out yet powerful track Declaration of Rights before moving on to a similarly deep track in "The Good Lord" with the funky sounding "Y Mas Gan" and legendary "Satta Massagana" which both partly feature Amharic in them cementing their close ties to the homeland of rastafari - Ethiopia.
