... About 9 years ago, this song was played in 4 wedding ceremonies that I attended when couples marched towards the church's door when the wedding rite is over. The lines "I'll be your hope, I'll be your dream, I'll be your fantasy" don't sound right to my ear as they sound a bit conceited. Those would be the words of a man whom I'd like to kick out from my door. The lines would be better if sung the other way such as "You'll be my hope, you'll be my dreams, you'll be my fantasy." Well, I am not a so...more

SAVAGE GARDEN The Duo Darren Hayes : vocals Daniel Jones : guitar, keyboard, sequencing The Tracks, Few Lines and My Observation 1. To The Moon And Back (5:41) "I would fly to the moon and back If you'll be, if you'll be my baby..." This track is about a woman who feels unloved and uncared for so she keeps away from human affection. The track's theme is a futuristic hyperbole but it is a very romantic song. I like the intro that has a robotic sound effect which is followed by a terrific guitar play accompanied by drums. It has a dramatic futuristic feel but retains the feel of romance. We perhaps have never given Australia the credit it really deserves when it comes to exporting fairly good music over to our oil slicked shores. We have, it would seem, a tendency to only think of the girlie Neighbours star turned cancer fighting, pop Goddess, Kylie Minogue as the only good thing that ever came out of the land that gave us Kevin ‘bloody’ Wilson. Okay, so we can spare a moment to remember the sultry vocals of Morrison-esque Hutchinson and his band, INXS, but the story of modern Aussie audio contributions doesn’t stop there. Therefore, it may be high time to give Savage Garden an affectionate hug. Donning the style of meaningful ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Savage Garden - Savage Garden: Truly madly deeply in love with savage garden (569 words)

Ok, my first opinion, so lets start with a bang, As I was sat at my computer debating what to right an opinion about, I thought what better way to start could there be than to write about my favourite band. One of the Greatest Love songs of all time, Yes this has to be the song that made the band Savage Garden. Following Truly Madly Deeply the band has produced many great hits such as “I Want You”, “To the Moon and Back” and “Affirmation”. This Song seemed to give the band a streak that they needed. It gave them all the publicity they could wish for and sent them on the road to victory. This song is one of those lazy ...  Read the complete review

Great! (1173 words)

Expressions of love and anger fill this CD. From it’s magical astronomical start to it’s depressing anonymous ending the CD drags you through a range of emotions that is hard to find in any other CD. The emotions are deep and understated to the first time listener, even after the 50th time (or more) this CD will leave you wanting more and wishing there were more songs on the CD to listen to. To a wonderful start to a musical career and a great introduction to this duo of talented musicians. The CD starts with the most powerful song on it, To the Moon and Back. This song takes you on a journey literally to the moon and back again. The song still makes ...  Read the complete review
