Advantages: All the lryics and good price! Plus a changable cover

Disadvantages: One really tacky song

Geri Halliwell was one of the famous Spice Girls but the first to break away! After the sad departure Geri decided to bring out an album showing her fealings after leaving the Spice Girls. Her album went triple platinum and went to number four, while her singles did much better. She had three great number ones and a number two from this fantastic album Schizophonic – which means Shcizo/split and phonic/sound.

1) – LOOK AT ME – Geri’s first single off the album and what a change in music. She doesn’t have a brilliant voice but uses it well throughout the album, as proved in this song. It only got to number two but it was out the same week as Boyzone which beat it to the top spot. The song is all about her finding out who she really was. Was she a Vamp, a Virgin, a B***h or a Sister. The video was a big hit and set a hopeful career in the music industry as a solo artist for Geri. 8/10

2) – LIFT ME UP – This was the third song released from the album and was Geri’s second number one in a row. Not only is the song really catchy but it had a great video with aliens, who came to help Geri feel better as she was feeling low due to her car breaking down. Some good graphics and good vocals soured this song straight to the top of the charts. 9/10

3) – WALKAWAY – One of the biggest ballads Geri has done. It’s my favourite song on the album with a very soft a smooth sound. I like her voice as she sings in quite high key from her usual sound. It’s all about her walking away from a bad situation with her head up high knowing she’s right. It’s a definite song if your sad and feeling in need of a relax, as it’s very soouthing. 10/10

4) – MI CHICO LATINO – The best song on the album which was Geri’s first number one and a very happy sound. Some said that she was copying the latino starts such as Jennifer Lopes and Ricky Martin but Geri̵
7;s mother is Spanish and she speaks it quite fluently too. Brilliant rap in Spanish makes this song so lively as and her voice is good too. 10/10

5) – GOODNIGHT KISS – The first slow track and it sounds a lot like 1960’s sound with jazz music and piano’s. Not a brilliant track but vocals make it a really easy listening track. Definitely an album material song. 8/10

6) – BAG IT UP – A the third number one with the one of the best video’s Geri’s done. All about treating the man like a lady for a change and a very in your face track but another easy listener. A real jazzy meets pop sound with Geri’s husky talking voice, then into singing. The video was excellent! She is hovering and cleaning the house while her supposed to be husband watching TV and ordering her around. She makes him a drink in her own formula and it turns him into a man that does women things. She then makes a fortune from selling the product and calls it Girl Powder. Sort of keeping the girls power theme. 10/10

7) - SOMETIME – The song starts off as if you are in church with the organs and people sitting down. Geri really shows off her voice in that she sings with only the organ which is really quiet in the background. Then a choir joins her as it makes a lovely smooth and quiet song then!!!! into the beats and chimes, then into a really hard sound and back to the beats and chimes. A really diverse song which has shown Geri mature a lot from the Spice Girls. This could have easily been another single from this album. 9/10

8) – LET ME LOVE YOU – A brilliant rack which starts off with an Indian sound and an Indian singer. With the big drum beats it kicks off to be a real pop come latino, indian track. The song is all about how she is falling in love with someone and wants them to know how she feels. A very catchy chorus and can easily get you dancing. 9/10

9) – SOMEONE’S WA
TCHING OVER ME – This song is all about her father who past away when Geri wasn’t famous. It starts off with children playing in a school playground. Then into a smooth and very sad ballad about her father. With the deep meaning to this song Geri’s voice makes you feel sad when hearing the lyrics in the song. She should have tried for a Christmas number one with this track as it’s very suitable. 10/10

10) – YOU’RE IN A BUBBLE – This is probably the worst song on the album. I mean it is. She talks in the beginning which makes her sound like a right mong! The song just doesn’t suit the album and gives it a bad ending. It’s hard to listening to and very annoying. 4/10

Even thou it has one bad song the overall rating is really good. A fine album with some really catchy songs.

Can’t wait for Geri’s new stuff as it’s probably going to be better than this by miles.
