Advantages: more diversity, use of samples

Disadvantages: none

After the more straight forward rock of the last two album ( Deconstructed doesn't count ). Bush released what is probably their most varied album yet. I think it definitely shows a big progression in the sound.
On this album Rossdale's lyrics actually make a bit more sense and actually give the songs more meaning as a result. The band have also expereimented with beat samples on tracks such Altered States and it actuallt works. This is an album that grows on you with every listen. Chemicals Between Us actually got some recognition as a good tune from some of the UK press as well. There is still an element of anger in the music but then you get slow songs like Letting the Cables Sleep which is probablt one of the best songs on the album. I don't why it hasn't been released as a single in the UK as you would probably see Bush denting the UK top 40 for a change.
The grungy anthems are still here in Prizefighter. It's their most accessible record to date and it'll be interesting to see what direction the next album takes.
