The Secret Life Of The Love Song - Nick Cave

This short mini album consists of Nick Cave speaking about the love song, interspersed with him singing some of his favourite ones (as we find out later!) What is so fascinating about this album is that it reveals in immense depth, how he writes his songs, and how each one is different from the other. The spoken element of the album is actually part of a lecture he give on songwriting at the Vienna academy of music a few years ago, and this is interesting, as he explains how this filled him with horror, for his father was a lecturer, and as he says, there he was, doing exactly the same thing as his father.
