SEND AWAY THE TIGERS is the title of the album by Welsh indie rock band MANIC STREET PREACHERS. The album contains ten tracks. The album starts with SEND AWAY THE TIGERS a really great opener with the guitar sounding great, setting a benchmark for the others to follow. UNDERDOGS contains great lyrics about those who aren't favoured. The music is slower paced, though still sounds great especially when the instruments kick in. YOUR LOVE ALONE IS NOT ENOUGH is a powerful ballad with real heartfelt emotion about lost love heard particularly through the vocals. INDIAN SUMMER is a faster paced song with the vocals on top form ... Read the complete review

Released in May 2007, this album comes at least, oohhh I don't know, approximately 8 years after they disappeared from the public conciousness? Since 1999 they have delivered one below par album 'Know Your Enemy' (2001) followed up by a good, if somwhat plain album 'Lifeblood' (2004) which failed to make the UK Top Ten and disappeared out of the Top 100 altogether after the first week. Failure to deliver with this album could have knocked the last bit of life out of a rock band reaching their 40s. Having branched off to do a couple of solo projects, Nicky Wire and James Dean Bradfield have returned to the safe confines of The Manic Street Preachers. The result of this reconciliation is the bands 8th studio album and the first one I’ve been excited about for a long time. The last few albums haven’t been too bad but when compared to the earlier efforts such as Everything Must Go and Holy Bible I’d not really felt the same excitement. The release of this album has seen that excitement return and for that reason as soon as I could I got my hands on a copy. With the title of the album being inspired by an old Tony Hancock saying, the band have reunited with ... Read the complete review

To be fair i was a little worried about this album!James and nicky have both been busy with their solo albums and little solo tours. So i thought they wouldent make this album as best as they could! Also the album released before'lifeblood' wasent the best ive heard. But this album is amazing! But at first ii wasent that impressed,But the more you listen the more you see its really good rock music!its like marmite!u either love it or hate it!james is back with his little gutair solos and they are rocking out!the opener track sounds a little boring to begin with,But the chorus starts and it blows you away! And then you go into the album.Of course the whole album is ...
