When I bought this album in the summer of '07 I enjoyed it but did not really like it. I am a huge fan of Senses Fail and their music but I was less than pleased. There are a few good tracks and there are a few fillers. The Album is not as good as their previous album "Let it enfold you" but was all right. Let it enfold you was amazing. Senses fail have always been a 'screamo' band, this leads many to believe that all of their music sounds the same as all other screamo bands, they are wrong, Senses fail is THE screamo band, the genre defining band. This album is quite different than their debut album 'let it enfold you' in that their sound has matured with time, there is less screaming and more singing. The singing on this album really is singing, unlike on 'let it enfold you' where he whined quite a lot of the lyrics. The music the band produces has also changed, there is still much of the fast and furious 'emo-core' guitar and drums, however they also adopt some slower guitar riffs and ...  Read the complete review

Having not been at all impressed with the bands debut full length release 'Let It Enfold You', I decided to give the band the benefit of the doubt and see what they had come up with this time around. There has been a clear improvement here and although at times you can almost pinpoint the exact second at which the band will unleash another scream, it's actually a fairly interesting album to listen to. There is a lot less screaming here than there was before and although some screaming is still evident – it would seem that the band have decided to opt for a more melodic approach this time around and I think that they have made a smart move in doing so. Screaming is no ...  Read the complete review

some fine vocal performances, very catchy songs, clever musicianship one or two fillers

'Little Bombs', 'Fever Dreams' & 'Thick As Thieves' 'Clean Breaks', 'The Window's Peak', 'The Shade of Poison Trees'

Songs grow on you. None.

Definitive Southern Californian punk rock with some great metal influence. Far too short, and some songs lack originality.

Great music to kick back and relax to Most of the tracks here are fairly forgettable

Forms an important part of 80s music. A fair few ordinaty tracks to be skipped over.

Werk 80 Vol.1 - Atrocity
Industrial style adapts well to the eighties electro pop originals. Rather pointless.

Twilight - Bathory
Brilliant atmosphere and excellent fusion of metal with neofolk. Too slow and atmospheric for old-school Bathory fans.

Dreamboat Annie - Heart
Great pieces of music, singing, lyrics, instrumentals Might be a touch too heavy for some

The Hits: Parental Advisory - Kelis
R&B & Soul - Soul - 2008

Ego - Alex Argento
Talented keyboards and guitar, without going too far overboard. Fairly limited appeal.

Dreams Like Deserts - Aura Noir
Classic early black metal... ...that arrived ten years too late.

Da Derrty Versions: The Reinvention - Nelly
Original take on older material A few track could have been used instead of what was

Watch The Sun - Headcharger
An excellent rock album which integrates brilliantly elements of hardcore and metal. May be a little too heavy and hard hitting for some.

Chapters - Amorphis
A better collection than 'Story.' Suffers from the same drawbacks as that earlier release.

Those Whose Past Is Immortal - Astrofaes
Sophisticated black metal incorporating the best elements from various off-shoots. Really bad production.
