Introduction Since the age of 16 I ve been a massive Garth Brooks fan, and currently own all of his albums and videos. So when I heard about a Garth album that I didn t have I immediately hot footed it to the music store to find it. After much searching I eventually came across the album "In the Life of..." by Garth s alter ego "Chris Gaines". Who is Chris Gaines? Chris Gaines is a fictional Australian country singer of Garth s creation he was meant to be the main character in a film called "The Lamb" and this album was to be a pre-soundtrack to the film. However due to lower than excepted sales of the album the film was never made, but at ...

In Pieces is the third album by the most popular and best selling country music artist in the world Garth Brooks . It was released on 31st August 1993 and made its debut at number one in both the U.S. billboard chart and the Country Billboard charts. This album was a massively successful album in the United States and spawned a large number of singles from it which all became with the exception of one top ten hits. However it was in the good old United Kingdom that the real success of this album came as before its release it had already achieved the position of number 2 on the British Country Charts.(that s right we have a country chart in this country...you learn ...

I was introduced to the music of Garth Brooks in a slightly unusual way. My local pub was holding a Karaoke evening and the compere, Tony, an ex semi professional singer with a country and western band, kicked the evening off with a song called ‘That Summer’. As I sat watching the lyrics come up on the television screen I realised what a good story was being told within the song, and later when another song ‘Rodeo’ was performed by him, I couldn’t help but look through the song catalogue to find out the name of the artiste. Having seen the lyrics and heard the songs of a man who’s name I new but couldn’t recall ever hearing on the radio, I went out the following day an ...
