When i heard that this album sold so well i was kinda flabbergasted and shocked if i am honest.Shayne Ward has a very thin voice alhtough he sing quite well admittely. This album is obviously his debut record and it sold better than the Girls Aloud debut album, it's sold 10 times more than poor Little Leon is selling right now and better than Brookenstein. So as a male artist he is up there with Lemar and Will Young if you base it solely on sales. I think this album has 6 great songs on and i can take and leave the rest. I haven't listened to this album from start to finish because some song put quite simply just are not good enough. Thats My Goal was huge, ... Read the complete review

This was the debut album from former X Factor winner Shayne Ward (who won the second series in 2005). It sold around 500,000 copies in the UK (maybe a few more by now), which I presume was mostly off the back of him winning the show. It isn't a bad album, but it isn't what I would call a brilliant album either. For me, it falls somewhere in the middle, round about average. The first time I heard the album, I immediately thought of Westlife. While Shayne has a different voice to any of the members of Westlife, many of the tracks here would not sound out of place on a Westlife album, as there are numerous middle-of-the-road ballads. "I Cry" is ... Read the complete review

Shayne Ward was the rightful winner of the X Factor in 2005. His performance of 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' helped him clinch the win, a tour de force. Who is he: Shayne is a UK based singer from a humble background, now with two albums under his belt. On this album: The lead track is the massive number one single 'That's My Goal'. It shifted over half a million in the first week of release and is a good start to the album. Anthemic and rousing, Shayne's vocals are given the chance to shine. It is somewhat by the numbers, but is a crowdpleaser. Better than this is the soulful 'No Promises' which has one of those melodies ... Read the complete review

This is his first album since wining X Factor in 2005 I never got to watch the show as its never been made available on DSTV.I first heard that's my goal his fist single off his album when it hit number one in UK which I heard on Sky news.I really was surprised such a great talent had not been found before. After hearing No promises I made my mind up and decided to go out and get the album.I usually decided after at least hearing 3 singles whether an album will be good enough this time it just took two.Its a great album well worth the money. There are about twelve songs on the album. There are four songs that have been redone by him All My life which was originally sung by ...
