Advantages: A selection of good songs
Disadvantages: To Many Tracks
Shock Value is the latest album to be released in the UK by super producer Timbaland. The album contains a mixture of Hip-Hop and R&B tunes and has a total of 19 tracks. Every Track is individual an there is a lot of creativity on this album and this is down to there being over 20 different artists featured on this album. One of the problems with this is that the album doesn't really flow. However there is a number of great tracks that are on this album as well as a few bits of garbage.
Oh Timbaland:
This is the opening track and it is a good intriguing track that makes you want to listen to the rest of the album.
Give It To Me:
This is the second track on the album and was released as a single, It is a really good modern day R&B song that will appeal to many people as it features Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake.
The Way I Are:
Very similar to Give It To Me although it has a bit more of a hip hop vibe with the artist D.O.E. included on the track
Also on top of this tracks 7-11 are very good and flow quite well and this is probably the best part of the album for me.
7 Kill Yourself
8 Boardmeeting
9 Fantasy
10 Scream (Released as a single)
11 Miscommunication
After this there is a very odd song that features fall out boy, as you can guess it doesn't really work.
Then the last real good track on the album is Apologize which features up and coming artists OneRepublic, the track was a huge single and is also featured on there own album.
Overall Timbaland's work is good although there is a few duff tracks but thats probably because the album features so many different artists and has so many tracks.
This album certainly offers value for money as it contains many tracks and this album is probably suitable for you if your favourite genre is R&B, however the album is also suitable for others as it has quite an eclectic mix of tracks.
Summary: Like No Other Album
