 ... the Devil certainly trails it closely. This is the last album of the band that I think can be passed off as really good stuff as the later albums tend to be a bit on the polished side and the band by then had already achieved a ridiculous amount of success and wallowed in a world of antics and drug, alcohol abuse. Shout at the Devil is Motley Crue's 2nd album and was released in 1983, a year after their debut. Shout at the Devil is my personal favourite, although I acknowledge that their first album was musically more experimental and a bit more raw. The 2nd one loses some of the poppier undertones of the first and just about every track on the album is a guitar filled powerpack of sing-a-long rock anthems. Looks that Kill is undoubtedly the catchiest of them but the title track - Shout at the Devil certainly trails it closely.
