Advantages: Musically brilliant and intuitive

Disadvantages: Possibly a bit oddly paced

In my opinion, one of the great injustices in music over the past decade, is that the Yeah Yeah Yeah's second full length album didn't get them universally noticed as the amazing talent they are. After a very promising EP, the Band's first albums, Fever to tell, didn't quite live up to that potential.
Their second album more than makes up for that.
Hailing from new york, the band formed in 2000 and released their first LP three years later, they had been building critical acclaim prior to this due to amazing demos. This album was released in 2003.
First single and opening song explodes out of your speakers like an untamed beast, setting you up for the brilliant musical enginuity. Way out takes the pace down a bit with a catchy chorus. Fancy is definately the most experimental of the tracks, Guitarist Nick Zinner layering loop after loop of distorted guitar on top of Karen O's wailing vocals. Phenomena is probably the song which will make you stop in your trakcs and question what it is that you just listened to, it is brilliant. My favourite song from this album is closer, Turn Into, a beautiful ballad of Epic proportions.
All in all this is an amazing album which everyone should own.
