Muse have rocketed in popularity very recently, and this album really proves that they completely deserve their admiration and respect. They have been compared to Radiohead very frequently, and I think that comparison is a little unfair (although it shows they are likened to one of the greatest bands on the planet), as they have their own distinct sound. They have an exhilarating sound, which you can really ‘feel’ which is very rare in music today. Shrieking, epic guitars with a subliminal sounding voice characterize Muse who can make the most delicately sounding whisper transform into a screeching beast of a song. From start of Sunburn, you are greeted with a downpour of spectacular sounds that etch themselves into your mind. Please get this CD now, Muse will flabbergast you, they are shockingly good, as Muscle Museum, Fillip, Cave and Uno prove. Live the band are absolutely breathtaking - they are much heavier than on record and they truly rock. They are amazing.
