... on this track and the simple lyrics and beat with a bit of harmony in the chorus make this a great RnB tune to relax to and enjoy. Another great and popular track on this album is 'Open your eyes' which is a mixture of slow and upbeat soul, jazz and RnB and hiphop sounds. It showcases his great vocal ability and again the smooth voice and texture of his voice. You will chill to this and yet nod your head to the beats in the chorus. The more upbeat tracks like 'Free as a Bird', 'If You Want to' and 'Body Rock' are gr...more

A colleague at work gave me this album along with a few other albums from his collection. The name sounded rather familiar though I couldn't put my finger on particular tracks he's done so I gave it a good listen, as you do... My fave track off this album that I had heard a few times before and I am sure others have too is 'I think I love you' which has fantastic lyrics. His smooth voice and vocals flow so naturally on this track and the simple lyrics and beat with a bit of harmony in the chorus make this a great RnB tune to relax to and enjoy. Im Cheatin takes the scenario that ...  Read the complete review

"Sketches Of A Man" is the fourth album by the Neo-Soul singer Dwele. Just to clarify, Neo-Soul is a musical genre born out of R&B and Soul, it takes it's main influences from these two styles, and also injects a little Hip Hop into it to give a unique sound. The most notable musicians in this genre are Erykah Badu, Mary J. Blige and Raphael Saadiq, so if this is your type of thing then check it out. I first become aware of Dwele upon first listening to Slum village's "EZ Up", and ever since then I've seen the Detroit singer pop up hear and there in 2Pac's "Starin' Through My Rear View", "The People" by Common and ...  Read the complete review

Her voice and choice of songs, especially the "duet" with her father If you don't like these old songs, you might not enjoy this album

A double album full of tack and the wonderful Disco era, may take you back. Cringe worthy moments of songs that weren't quite the best of by a large margin. Continuous medley

Lots of Awesome Tracks A few weak track.

A couple of nice R&B tracks Sounds manufactured

Classic Hip hop Long tracks. Songs are off-putting.

Some brilliant songs and production Some terrible songs and production
