Skin and Bones is the latest live acoustic albulm from the Foo Fighters who are one of the most popluar bands in the world. I have personally seen them live and they are great and propably the best live band that i have seen. This latest albulm is prbably one of their best as it has many of their best known songs on live from various gig's that they have done over the last few years.

For anyone who doesn't know the Foo Fighters they are an American rock band formed by musician Dave Grohl in 1995. The group is named after the World War II term "foo fighter", used to refer to mysterious aerial phenomena. Grohl originally was the drummer in Nirvana but after the death of Kurt Kobain and the split of the band Grohl decided to go solo for a while but this never worked and eventually he decided to get togther a band. After many albums and a few changes in personel the current band is the best known consisting of:

Dave Grohl - lead vocals and guitarist
Chris Shiflett - guitars, vocals
Nate Mendel - bass
Taylor Hawkins - drums, percussion, vocals, piano, guitar

Skin and bones was first released in November 2006 and 78 hours and 37 mins in length of pur quality. The songs consist of live band performances and solo encoures from Grohl taken from the endof gigs. The albulm only debuted at number 21 which was also its highest position in the charts but don't let this position fool you it is still a quality albulm.
