When I heard the Craig’s new single ‘What’s Your Flava?’ I recognised the voice but had to double-check when a friend told me it was Craig David. Having brought his first album and loved it I thought his new one might be a bit different but I’m sure I’ll like it. I did and I was very pleased to see how like on his first album he had included the song lyrics to all of the songs. This restores my confidence in him and to me suggests that he hasn’t let fame get to his head as much as other ‘famous’ people. This album reflects the different people that he’s been hanging out with and shows events ... Read the complete review

Craig David has been away for a while but recently came back with his follow up to his Debut album ?Born To Dot It?. So far he has had a lot of top ten singles but with this album the sound is completely different . Still a very Craig David style album but with a different music style. For a young singer he has done what few British singers ever do, he cracked America. He has sold millions of albums worldwide and has been a huge success in the States. Although he took a while to come back with this album it was worth the wait because it is still decent. This album shows a more mature sound to Craig and again with this album he brings through his music more stories of ... Read the complete review

Due to the worldwide success and positive reviews of his first album, Craig had a lot to live up to with “Slicker than your average”. Craig had all but disappeared from the musical scene, after being shafted at the Brit Awards, instead he took time out to record some new material, for this album. Slicker than your Average can be purchased for £8.99 at CD Wow. The title track, and fist track on the album sounds off with a backing echoing voice, with Craig’s voice over the top, before the main vocals are introduced. I am still not sure about this song despite listening to it many times. It is almost as if it was thrown together with no ... Read the complete review

I find sometimes it is great to look back on albums a while after they have been released, at the time this album was released I was a massive Craig David fan, due to the huge success of the brilliant Born To Do It, at this time I felt Slicker Than Your Average was a dissapointing second album. Today I played it again for the first time in a while and I believe this album is much stronger than the excellent debut and offers a much more solid album, with equally brilliant song writing. What's Your Flava was the first single released from Slicker, and was different to anything at that time, a straight up Pop/R&B tune with a very funky flava, a ... Read the complete review

Craig David's taken the world by storm with a sensational boastfull debut. Having slogged through the minefields of sudden stardom and lived to sing about, he does with stylish aplomb. Craig David's dound is harder, more anxious, and much more suitable for clubs and makes a great album. Craig David this time deals with darker stuff with a selection of wide-eyed romantic songs, instead casting a rathe jaundiced eye at woman for attention his songs have a newfound complexity and edge makes him and his album intresting and represents himself as a clean-cut pop styling artist. Slicker Than Your Average Really Good song which has a Great Chorus ... Read the complete review
