Advantages: Everything - It's Brilliant!
Disadvantages: Are you joking?
What can you say about one of the classic albums of all time? Well, it's completely brilliant that's what! Released in 1986, this was the album that brought the band to mine and everybody else's attention in the world. Every song on here is sheer brilliance - from the grand organ entrance of the first track " Let It Rock " to the good time party last track " Wild In The Streets ". What really makes the album special is the singles. " You Give Love A Bad Name " & " Livin' On A Prayer " are quite simply classic tracks and still sound as good whether you are in the car with your shades on, blaring it out or in the middle of winter with the volume turned up to 10. Even better than those two is " Wanted Dead Or Alive " ( Jon Bon Jovi's all time favourite BJ track ) which starts off slowly and builds into a rousing crescendo and Richie's solo is breathtaking. Everybody must have a copy of this album - It's law!.

- 04/08/00 I don't think I need to write my opinion on Slippery When Wet now - you've almost written word for word what I'd have said! |
