What a great idea hey, to get a bunch of nobodies and well established UK soap stars to sing, now bear in mind that only 60% of these lot are atcually happy with their real job and quite sadly i'm sure alot of soap stars would preference a music career singing cover songs and original songs rather than atcually be in a soap and work night and day and get paid an average salary every year and work yourself off the first couple of years, but again Kym Ryder did the opposite and look how well she's done. Soapstar Superstar is a TV series where soapstars sing in a karaoke-style competition for first place. The money goes to charity and at the end, a CD is produced. The 2007 CD has fourteen tracks on it. Some of these tracks are quite quick-paced, such as Hot Stuff (Jane Danson) and It's A Heartace (Elaine Lourdon). And as it is now on CD rather than the TV, you can turn it up loud and it doesn't buzz! Some of the songs are quite soft, such as Tears In Heaven (Alan Fletcher) and When You Say Nothing At All (Antony Cotton). They're so gentle and really bring tears to the eyes!
