Well as the X-files craze first hit UK screens there was plenty of merchandise to cash in on it, and it was about that time I bought ‘Songs in the Key of X’, a compilation of ‘dark’ tracks related to the sci-fi series. Now that was back in 1996 and I doubt that more that many copies were sold, it was the one x-files product not to capture the public’s imagination, however I think it is immensely underrated and hardly the sci-fi compilation I expected.
