... wouldnt feel out of place in some of their better early 90's releases. The first two tracks are the strongest here, with unmade bed reminding me of the shortened version of the 'diamond sea' in places. This is the secound album with Jim O'Rourke as a full time member and I think his infuluence is starting to seep through here and is enlivening the band somewhat. Following the pattern set by the previous album 'murray street' this finds the band mining melodic themes and tight instrumental arrangements. This album is generally a little more experimental and noisy than its predecessor however this is no bad thing and some songs wouldnt feel out of place in some of their better early 90's releases. The first two tracks are the strongest here, with unmade bed reminding me of the shortened version of the 'diamond sea' in places.
