Systematic Chaos - Dream Theater
Few Highlights
Few Highlights
Star Trek - Soundtrack
A brilliant sci-fi score classic that retains its freshness after all these years
Over-play of main title music lessens impact today
Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan - Soundtrack
A windswept sci-fi score of great power and swashbuckling energy
Less than stellar sound quality
Star Trek III: Search For Spock - Soundtrack
A fitting continuation to the music established in Trek II with a more thoughtful air
Cheap sound quality and overall lack of energy fails to retain momentum throughout
Star Trek IV - Soundtrack
Catchy main title
But otherwise nothing to really get excited about
Star Trek V - Soundtrack
Goldsmith's best Trek besides the original with lots of thematic grandeur
Rather too much usage of the downbeat Adversity theme which is not terribly interesting
Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country - Cliff Eidelman - Soundtrack
Fantastically dark Star Trek score unlike any other
The almost all-encompassing darkness and suspense may not be ideal for a lot of people
Love Scenes - Diana Krall
Jazz - 1999
Korngold - The Sea Hawk / Deception
Two premiere recordings of classic Korngold scores in superlative performances
Outside of a couple of very small details there are none
