Chemistry - Girls Aloud

Rating:
Chemistry the 2005 album from Girls Aloud is to put it bluntly… rubbish! I won the CD and glad no money passed my bank account for it. Something that really surprised me was the inclusion of advertising in the CD case to buy ringtones for up to £3 considering the market for this album would be young teens. The physical design of the product is quite plain; the booklet contains no lyrics and just pictures of each band member with a blurb for who they wish to thank for the album. Trying to fit in with the language it is written in text speak… e.g. “u r truly amazin and I am so happy we found u!” My advice would be to choose a different mascara… they all look shocked and ...

What Will The Neighbours Say? - Girls Aloud

This is a review of the Girls 2nd UK album "What Will The Neighbours Say"... This album is a bix of a mixed bag really, there are some really good, really strong tracks on it, and then the other tracks are all a bit half-a$$ed and seem to be there purely to fill up the rest of the cd so they could release it as a full album. The tracklisting is shown below:- The Show Love Machine I ll Stand By You Jump Wake Me Up Deadlines & Diets Big Brother Hear Me Out Graffiti My Soul Real Life Here We Go Thank Me Daddy I Say A Prayer For You (UK Bonus Track) 100 Different Ways (UK Bonus Track) Im a little confused as to why they have included "Jump" on this ...

What Will The Neighbours Say? - Girls Aloud

it’s all about the music. Early signs, however, were not encouraging. Whilst “Sound of the Underground” was a mixed bag of sounds and influences, the way Girls Aloud have acted since it was released has had much in common with many of the standard bubblegum pop acts around. In a Madonna-like (or maybe even Cher-esque) move, the group’s two brunettes how have blonde highlights, whilst one of the blondes is now raven haired. There also seems to be a sexier image, perhaps trying to emulate Britney and Christina’s recent images. There has been a pop cover version, much like many pop acts have done, along with a watered down ruination of a classic song, which brings ...

State Of Euphoria - Anthrax
More of the same for devoted fans of the previous album.
Boring as a result, and very samey throughout.
Rebirth - Angra
Fresh blood revitalises a great band.
Pales in comparison to other releases.
Persistence Of Time - Anthrax
More technical, melodic, heavy, varied, epic and powerful than anything else the band would release.
A couple of songs still sound similar.
I'm The Man - Anthrax
Your sense of humour may be sufficiently lacking, rendering this amusing.
It's Anthrax messing around with novelty rap, recorded three times. What's to like?
Hunters And Prey - Angra
Heavy Metal - 2002
Penikufesin - Anthrax
Entertaining subsidiary offering from Anthrax's golden age.
Nothing substantial, beyond a bit of fun.
Eschaton - Anaal Nathrakh
Perfect blending of the finest elements from the previous albums.
Still doesn't really move forwards, and industrial edge is more irritating than ever.
Domine Non Es Dignus - Anaal Nathrakh
The best elements carry over from the previous E.P.
Less extreme and disappointingly clinical.
Attack Of The Killer B's - Anthrax
Some good hardcore-thrash crossover stuff, and interesting new material.
Comedy songs are a bit rubbish, and some of the covers too basic.
Among The Living - Anthrax
Super fast, super consistent
The vocals
