After a ridiculous opening in which the band members are literally sentenced one by one, 'Speed Metal Sentence' sets the style that the rest of the album falls back on. Fast, rhythmic guitar riffs that emphasise power over melody or memorability, and an intense vocal performance from Chainsaw Demon, who varies from a gravelly AC/DC style in the verses to a ludicrously high King Diamond imitation in the chorus that only really works because the band is so silly.

One of the prominent bands of the late-nineties thrash revival, it's obvious from the lyrics, song and album titles and pseudonyms of band members that Cranium aren't taking the thing very seriously, and this adds a level of enjoyment that fortunately doesn't correspond to a decline in musical quality.
