Advantages: Some massive songs that everyone remembers

Disadvantages: Some awful songs

OK so I have to admit I think of myself as having quite a good taste in music. Have been reviewing some of my favorite CD's when I spotted this! The Spice Girls! Oh dear! Well when this came out back in 1996 I was a 15 year old boy, maybe I had some issue's? I don't know. Actually someone bought me this as a present, but lets be honest I could have taken it back and exchanged it! Oh well, sorry everyone, but here is what I think.

1. Wannabe - Well what a tune. This was massive. 'Slap your body down and wind it all around!' How could a 15 year old boy say no to that!! This is sheer cheese pop, but it's great! Great beat, great sing a long words, just a good song! 9/10

2. Say You'll Be There - I do like this song. Has a real good sound to it. Love them or hate them you have to admit they have some good vocals on this album. Emma Bunton especailly with Mel C screaming up the chorus! Another really good song. 9/10

3. 2 Become 1 - A big Christmas number one if I remember rightly. Really nice chilled out song. have to adimit, I like this one too! Oh dear, what is happening to me! I should not be listening to this!!! 9/10

4. Love Thing - At last. Some trash! I have not been broken quite yet. Just album filler, not a good song. 5/10

5. Last Time Lover - It's all gone wrong. Another really poor song. This song is just ermmmm, boring. They are trying to get a sexy R&B sound, it just sounds weak. 4/10

6. Mama - Back to there best. Again this song is cheesy, but it's really nice! We all feel this way about are mum's or we should. Good lyrics and very nice vocals. 8/10

7. Who Do You Think You Are - Think this might have been the comic relief song. Is quite a funky catchy tune. Not my favorite but still a decent song. 7/10

8. Something Kinda Funny - Back to album filler. Not much to say about this one, is not the worst song, but is still pretty poor. 6/10

9. Naked - Another slow one. This is another attempt from the girls to sound seductive, not the best they could have done. 7/10

10. If U Can't Dance - Not a great finish to the album. Some shocking wrap on here, what were they thinking! 4/10

Overall there are some huge songs on here that we probably all have a soft spot for. However there is also some real tosh on here!! I suppose it's what you would expect from a girl band, and so there are no surprises really. But let's be honest, this is the first time have put this album on in many years. And it does still make me smile! 7/10
