Spiller feat. Sophie Ellis-Bextor – Groovejet (If this Ain’t Love) Once in a while, a truly great tune surfaces that has all the marks of a classic. It’s been played from Miami to Ibiza and is nominated to be *the* hit of the summer. Currently competing with The Truesteppers (featuring Victoria Beckham) for the number one national chart spot (we’ll find out soon enough), Groovejet is constantly on the radio, although most clubbers won’t know what all the fuss is about, as this track has been around for some two years. I love this single, the video is pretty groovy too. The song features Sophie Ellis-Bextor on vocals, ... Read the complete review

I’d never heard of Spiller until this dance track was played on the radio. It was released the same week as the Victoria Beckham single and narrowly beat it to the number 1 slot in the charts which is pretty good going;. Its definitely one of the best songs I’ve heard all year. Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s unique voice features on the lead vocals of the track. Its more familiar stuff than VB’s offering, though thats not a bad thing. The lyrics complement the catchy beat effectively, so you won’t be able to get it out of your head. Sophie’s got a famous Mum - Janet Ellis from 80s Blue Peter (you know, the one who went parachute jumping and ... Read the complete review

Go Spiller!. Great tune. I am sooooo glad you pipped Truesteppers to number one!. I was on holiday at the time you got your well deserved number one spot and couldnt get Radio 1 reception so I gave my sister strict instructions to ring me as soon as it was announced. When she rang she simply said "Spiller".....I jumped up and down like a looney shouting and cheering. Other holiday makers thought I must have one the lottery and were all cheering me! It was justice. V.Beckham tried to buy number one, Spiller simply got there on merit. Ah well, here's and cheers to Spillers next release. ... Read the complete review

Spiller - Groovejet (If this ain't love) - is one of the biggest club hits so far this summer, with the voice of Sophie Michelle Ellis-Bextor it makes it even greater, with those strong vocals, it really gives it a good vibe and makes you want to go clubbing. Released in early August, it went straight in at number 1 beating 'Out of My Mind' by Victoria Beckham and Dane Bowers. Sophie is only 21 and has a great voice which I think will hit many more tunes straight to the top of the charts. Sophie was born in West Middlesex hospital on the 10th april 1979. Her mum used to be a Blue-Peter presenter, so she would get her first taste of fame by ... Read the complete review

I'm sorry, I really am, but I feel that I must contraddict the growing wave of "Groovejet" fans. It may be (or have been) number 1 in the UK, but that doesn't mean it's good. I've heard a lot of number 1 hits which were, if you'll excuse the term, "the pits". Who can forget (or remember) Mr Blobby's no. 1 hit single? Was it any good? No. Which is the same for this. Let's start from the beginning: the song comprises of two sections, which are repeated over and over and over and over and over again (with slight variations, mind). If that isn't enough to bore you silly, then the fact that the samples used are only ... Read the complete review
Products similar to Groovejet (if This Ain't Love)...
With Oden On Our Side - Amon Amarth
Reasonable melodic death metal.
Amon Amarth are losing their touch.
Under The Sign Of The Black Mark - Bathory
Varied songs perfect Bathory's established style and innovate whole new avenues.
Poor production may disappoint those too dim to realise its integral role.
The Return - Bathory
More classic early black metal.
A little too similar to the first album, and in places not as good.
Symbol Of Salvation - Armored Saint
Average rock songs.
Bland and disappointing for metal fans.
Past & Future Secret - Blind Guardian
Nicely captures Blind Guardian's lighter side without being completely dishonest.
Final song is a wasted opportunity.
Nordland Vol.1 - Bathory
Excellent return to the Viking metal style, sorting out some of its inherent problems.
Songs tend to over-run, and heavier songs seem rather impersonal.
Nordland Vol.2 - Bathory
Final masterpiece of unrelenting Viking metal, less showy and more atmospheric.
Some songs are waaaaaaaaaaaaay too long.
March Of The Saint - Armored Saint
Classic heavy metal with great vocals.
Lacking in ideas and incredibly derivative.
Hammerheart - Bathory
A successful and inspired change of direction, Quorthon's creative peak.
Some songs are unnecessarily long and stand out less favourably.
Blood Fire Death - Bathory
Interesting mix of styles, with greatly improved production.
Tends towards similarity and repetition.
