Advantages: Leona's AMAZING voice
Disadvantages: A few songs sound a little samey
This is a very impressive album and Leona sings every song beautifully. She has an amazing voice and you never tire of hearing it.
The power ballad Bleeding Love is my favourite song on the album. Leona hits every note perfectly and this is one gorgeous love song. It doesn't sound cheesy at all and the lyrics fit the song really well. The song is very catchy and you just want to play it over and over. The album does contain a few songs which follow the same theme as Bleeding Love but they aren't as good in my opinion. The album does contain a mixture of upbeat pop songs and ballads but it is mostly ballads. Around 75% of the album is slow, however with Leona's amazing vocals (on every song) this isn't necessarily a bad thing.
There's a cover version of Snow Patrol's Run on here which is good but not great. I am a MASSIVE Snow Patrol fan and I happen to know the band personally. This version seems a little flat compared to the original and, to me, Gary Lightbody sings it with more emotion. However, Leona belts out the last two minutes of the song very well and for this reason I won't call it terrible.
The upbeat songs are songs such as Better In Time and Forgive Me. Leona does upbeat songs well, however ballads are more her thing. The album is much better compared to the first edition. Plus it contains a bonus DVD too.
Summary: For an X Factor contestant this is pretty good!
