Funplex is the latest B-52's album, released in 2008 (March in US, April in UK) - the band's first in 16 years that was created after the band decided they needed new material whilst on tour. The album retains a lot of their original sound whilst adding a few new elements and comes across quite poppy, there's plenty of cheesy lyrics in trademark outer space vocals to keep the old fans happy though. It also tries to incorporate a couple of more modern heavy dance beats in to certain tracks.
