More classic early black metal. A little too similar to the first album, and in places not as good.

Average rock songs. Bland and disappointing for metal fans.

March Of The Saint - Armored Saint
Classic heavy metal with great vocals. Lacking in ideas and incredibly derivative.

Hammerheart - Bathory
A successful and inspired change of direction, Quorthon's creative peak. Some songs are unnecessarily long and stand out less favourably.

Fate Of Norns - Amon Amarth
Reasonably epic. Dull and lacking in energy.

Delirious Nomad - Armored Saint
Some more old-school heavy metal for you. It's not particularly good.

Blood Fire Death - Bathory
Interesting mix of styles, with greatly improved production. Tends towards similarity and repetition.

Avenger - Amon Amarth
More aggressive and exciting than its predecessor, with a fine performance all round. Some of the same old problems remain.
