Advantages: The odd decent song

Disadvantages: To much rubbish

Well here is another Oasis album. I seem to have decided to review them all! Standing on the shoulders of giants was the bands fourth studio album released back in 2000. So what does it sound like, after a slightly disappointing third album (although better than most people think, see my review!) could they hit that form they showed a few years back? Well here are the tracks.

1. F***** In The Bushes - I can not understand why they start the album with this. Its just music being played with random people talking in the background. Very strange. 6/10

2. Go Let It Out - Massive track. The biggest track of the album for some good lyrics, a good beat and me. A song I have always enjoyed. 9/10

3. Who Feels Love? - Not a great song. Has an unusual sound to it, which am not to keen on. Liam really whines on this track. 7/10

4. Put Yer Money Where Yer Mouth Is - Long intro of feedback before the song kicks off. Then its got that classic Oasis sound. Fast and frantic, a decent little song, although not a classic. 8/10

5. Little James - Think I'm right in saying this was the first song Liam wrote. It's about his son, and to be honest is pretty rubbish! The lyrics are awful, can see why Noel usually does the lyrics! 5/10

6. Gas Panic! - A really weak song. Has nothing going of it, is slow and boring. 5/10

7. Where Did It All Go Wrong? - I wonder if Noel wrote this about the album? He sings this one himself, and its far better than the last two songs. Has a good sound to it and some decent lyrics. 8/10

8. Sunday Morning Call - A very good song. Slower and chilled. Some iconic lyrics and a really nice feel to it. Even includes what sound like a choir in the background, very unusual for an Oasis song! I like this one. 9/10

9. I Can See A Liar - That's better! This song sounds like some of Oasis' early work. It's fast, it's raw, and it sounds good! Not great, but good. They need to do more songs like this one! 8/10

10. Roll It Over - A short album that need something big to conclude. It doesn't really get it! It's an Ok song but really lacks anything special. 6/10

Well overall I would have to say this is a very disappointing album. There are a few good songs but no great ones, and plenty of rubbish! This is for me the worst album Oasis have done. It's one I never really listen to these days and it just gathers dust on my shelf. Not one that needs to be in your collection!

Overall I'm afraid to say it only gets a 6/10!

Summary: Simply not good enough
