The World Is Outside - Ghosts
Pleasant, inoffensive, upbeat and enjoyable
Not pushing any boundaries, very studio produced
Aghora - Aghora
Excellent and approachable jazzy prog metal from legendary performers.
Female vocals sometimes seem out of place, and the style becomes a little repetitive.
Timeless Realm - Akashic
Mellow, accessible prog metal.
Lacks the expected experimental angle.
Krull - James Horner
Hugely fun early Horner fantasy effort
Experimentalist attitude and not a hugely different sound when compared to Star trek II
Evermind - Amethystium
Relaxing and eclectic ambience.
Only suited for relaxation or background music, otherwise soon becomes repetitive and dull.
Bleed - Angel Dust
Powerful vocals, high production values and an enjoyable mood.
Rooted in the past with few distinguishing features.
Apteka - Apteka
Entertainingly inconsistent.
Repetitive and not too musically accomplished.
Lies - Arcana Obscura
Soothing atmospheric "dark" electro with great vocals.
Dull and repetitive, with obvious contrast between the club hits and ambience.
The Arcanum Order - At The Throne Of Judgement
A competent melodic death metal / metalcore thing.
Very little difference between the songs.
