Stars - Simply Red I wanna fall from the stars Simply Red have been around for a long long time now but I think their music is still relevant and great. I think they are one of those bands who have fans of all ages due to their easy listening, non offensive type music. Apparently, according to an article I read, Simply Red got their name because it was the lead singer's (Mick Hucknall's) nickname due to his red hair. I never knew this fact but it does make sense! When this album came out, the UK was literally going Simply Red mad, It was selling by the bucket load and everyone wanted to sleep with the gorgeous Mick Hucknall. From the minute you pick this up, you will be rewarded with some timeless pop songs and THAT voice. Who are they: UK group who came to fame in the eighties. I have always been a fan of Simply Red, or more especially Mick Hucknall, as we grew up in the same area of Manchester, and now my son is about to go to the same school that he did, namely Audenshaw High School For Boys. When we went to have a look around the school I lingered a while in the music room, wondering if anything in that particular room gave him inspiration, if it did then I missed it!
